Informationsdienst IT-Grundschutz

IT-Grundschutz

An information service for CIOs and Data Center managers

Since July 2008 SecuMedia-Verlag publishes the information service magazine "IT-Grundschutz". The objective of this monthly, 16-page journal is to support CIOs and Data Center managers in their workday routine with well-researched articles about IT Security and news related to legal practices, technologies and IT implementations.

The journal is particularly useful for:

 - IT Managers

- Administrators

- Chief Security Officers

- Subscribers to the IT-Grundschutz Catalogues of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), a manual for basic IT security

- Data Protection Officers

- IT Security Officers - to give them an overview of the most recent trends which they can pass on to the management, the IT department or administrators

- Persons in charge of security in authorities and medium-sized companies without a designated IT security officer

For many companies and organizations the IT-Grundschutz Catalogues of the BSI are a fundamental frame for the implementation and benchmarking of their IT Security. In fact this standard work covers relevant topics very comprehensively but can't include current developments due to its long-term update deadline.

Against this backdrop the information service "IT-Grundschutz" is a more up-to-date starting point. It offers continuous support for the implementation of basic IT security and reports about new trends and changes long before they can be part of the BSI's IT-Grundschutz Catalogues.
